Sweat, tears and fire accelerant...
We resume our cosmic story with a solid Earth trine between Mercury at 6 degrees Capricorn and Jupiter in Taurus that occurs on Thursday December 7th. This will be the first of 3 total trines to Jupiter, as Mercury will be retrograding back here in the near future, so pay attention to what is catalyzed around this day regarding your reputation and personal resources, and how your personal cosmology and mental perceptions get translated and formed into building blocks in support of your greater mission. These will be undergoing a process of refinement with this trine being activated again on December 18th and finally on January 19th. Which this final aspect will also have Jupiter moving forward again so I would look forward to this hard work of the refinement process really paying off in a great gift from Earth if you’ve put in the blood, sweat and tears that Saturn ruled Capricorn tends to demand.
Saturday the 9th brings a face-off of the benefics, with Venus in Scorpio opposing Jupiter in Taurus. Both planets are in fixed feminine signs, bringing some cool tension to this turning point in their dance around the zodiac. From here on out Venus will be in a waning descent towards Jupiter for the next 6 months or so, meaning there is a decomposition process initiated that will complete next May (the 23rd to be exact) when Venus conjuncts Jupiter at the very last degree of Taurus. Triggered suspicions around withheld resources, vocal projections and other relational shadows may get blown out of proportion at this time, with even more emotional impact as the Moon will also be nearby in Scorpio as well. I’d also be aware of feeling the desire to spend money on products that are just filling a soul void. Cult-ure is constantly selling us replacements for our broken soul pieces, and we are often happy to participate in this game show. See the gleaming, shiny trinkets for the distractions they are and start to dig for the real gold that is your energy and attention. And remember that cult-ure is not your friend.
Monday December 11th we have a little send off gift from Mercury as it will sextile Venus at 8 degrees of Capricorn just before turning retrograde on Tuesday night. This may bring an opportunity to have a deep dive conversation with someone that will build your confidence and maybe even provide some physical support for the foundation being constructed this next month or so. This is perfect for the big events happening on Tuesday! First we have the Sagittarius New Moon at 20 degrees, conjunct Mars, square to Neptune in Pisces, trine the North Node in Aries and sextile to the South Node in Libra. What does it all mean? This Moon - Sun party feels like a rapid evolutionary cosmic-chiropractic adjustment that ready-or-not is putting us in position to embody capital T - Truth. It may catalyze some powerful disillusionment with any saviors or heroes that remain for you, a necessary part of the process. It may bring some strange wandering pains in the days leading up to this, this is also normal. Everything that gets activated in this fiery portal is burning away the dross of the soul in preparation for this new level of living the Divine. Remember that Sag is the alchemical forge where true art is created, think less Bob Ross, more Hieronymus Bosch. Channeling all of this energy into some physical movement is helpful to just keep things moving so stagnation doesn’t set in, Sagittarius does well with exercise and exertion.
The Mercury retrograde that kicks off about 8 hours later is putting our minds and tools of perception through the necessary 3 week de-programming to run this next level of Divine Consciousness through our bones and nervous systems. The New Moon sparks the shift but it takes some time for this to translate and integrate into the density of our bodies, hence the perfect timing of this retro to allow the inner tetris-ing to settle into new forms. Stationing at 8 degrees of Capricorn, it will return to Sagittarius December 22nd and turns direct on January 1st, 2024, happy new year indeed. The thought-forms that inform our reality and therefore our foundations are really getting a thorough refinement, which is quite a gift in this potent darkness of the year. Remember that when shit is breaking apart!
Friday the 15th Mars at 15 degrees of Sag will be in a harmonious trine to Chiron in Aries, along with the Sun beginning to trine and sextile the Lunar Nodes in Aries and Libra. All of this supportive fire accelerates what was kicked off on Tuesday it seems. This entire week holds potential quantum leaps on our healing journeys, personal and collective. With Mar and Aries being prominent players here, with Mars ruling the North Node and Chiron in Aries, the theme of war and its multitude of wounded manifestations continues to be up for what needs our attention in the healing underway. Energy put into addressing the ways that the patterns of war inform and influence the foundations of our systems of money, justice, politics and more (South Node in Libra) will be magnified by the planetary energies streaming in, potentising the medicine that comes through in our healing work. Absolutely nothing good comes out of anything that is constructed upon the violence of war.
Saturday the 16th the Sun at 24 degrees squares Neptune in Pisces. This may spark another layer of disillusionment around ones higher ideals and personal belief systems, but it’s ultimately for your best as both planets are under the rulership of Jupiter’s divine wisdom. Good things will come of this bump to the ego.
The last days of Sag season feel a little more chill as the fires start to die down and the energy of Earth rises to the forefront again, first with that 2nd trine between Mercury, now moving backwards, and Jupiter in Taurus at 5 degrees. This happens on Monday the 18th, keeping track of the connection to the events of the first trine on December 7th. A removal of resources, whether mental or tangible, may occur and it could really feel constricting in some way, but see it as an opportunity to cultivate deeper trust in the process of transformation.
Our final aspect is an opposition between Venus at 19 degrees of Scorpio and the great awakener Uranus at 19 degrees of Taurus, felt on Wednesday the 20th. This could continue a thread from Venus’ opposition to Jupiter on the 9th that was impacting the same signs and houses of your star chart. This time though there’s a much more electric and potentially shocking experience in store. Venus is pretty disempowered in the fixed waters of Scorpio, but she is ruling Uranus in its long transit of Taurus, that said there could be a sudden change in shared resources that ripples out over the next 6 months or so, until Venus makes the conjunction to Uranus seeding a new cycle around resources, values and abundance (similar to the decomposition phase she entered with Jupiter earlier this month.) This would bring some emotional hardships, triggering ones survival instinct and any repressed wounding from ones childhood or other traumatic experiences that are locked away in the depths of the psyche. This could also play out more collectively and may not impact you directly, but would still have an emotional and energetic toll on your body. Nourishing foods and herbal remedies that calm the nervous system and support the kidneys are well advised to have on hand.
